Michal Palzewicz grew up in Warsaw, Poland and prior to coming to the U.S. at age 21, trained and performed extensensively throughout Europe. He is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music and the Academy of Music in Warsaw, winner of the Saunderson Award in the 52nd Coleman Chamber Ensemble Competition, finalist of the Paolo Borciani String Quartet Competition in Italy, and Winner of Young Concert Artists Auditions in Leipzig, Germany. Teachers and coaches with whom he has worked include: David Soyer (Guarneri String Quartet),members of the Amadeus Quartet (Norbert Brainin, Siegmund Niessel, Martin Lovett), Michael Tree (Guarneri String Quartet), David Geber (American String Quartet), Peter Oundjian (Tokyo String Quartet), Robert Mann (Julliard String Quartet), Pinchas Zuckerman, Hugh Maguire, Isidore Cohen, and William Pleeth. |
